How do you play your game if Steam gets out of business?

pretty sure they would either
  • Have the decency to remove any sort of DRM on the product
  • Bethesda will let us re-use our keys on GoG.com so we can still play
  • offline mode on steam

You don't have to be logged in to play Skyrim. You just need Steam to install the patches.

You do to play it for the first time. Be that after the initial download or the hard copy purchase.

Only if you have the game downloaded and Steam in offline mode.
