Anyone ever thought of this in the dlc?

Allright some people have claimed that we need to have some sort of ship to travel to an island where the dlc will be. But others would like to have some new landmass that would be in Skyrim itself.

So how about you could purchase a boat which you could decorate? That way you can have a home (the boat) in lets say the docks of Dawnstar.
So the home would be in Skyrim and you can take it with you as you travel to the new dlc area.

Just something that popped up in my mind, thought I might share.

(Side note: Would also really like an arena where you need to fight npc's or so in a preset match (like brawls or so )

Your opinions?

Even better would be a trendy painted up canol boat home located in the Riften canol. Riften could turn from the once down and out home of the thieves guild and develop into the latest trendy hot spot for Skyrim's up and coming big earners. It'll just like London's Camden Lock or Little Venice

- only joking. Not a real idea. A trendy canol boat might work for a Fable game though. That had a whole camp of eco-friendly hippy style new-age travellers

You bring up an excellent point.
I have a house in every major city, but use Riften as my main base. I keep everything of interest to me stored there - alternate weapons/armor/supporting item loadouts, booty, ores & ingots, alchemy ingredients, you name it. If the DLC forced me to leave Skyrim, it might get awfully difficult for me to manage my activities efficiently.

Nice points, however, please put them in the DLC thread:
