Fighting Uruk-Hai Orc build

Post » Thu Jun 14, 2012 1:04 am

Hi folks  Just thought I`d share this build idea with the forum, incase someone else fancies giving it a go.While messing around with the character creation the other day,I managed to create a Lord of the Rings style - Fighting Uruk-Hai Orc.The skin colour is a sort of dark grey, but it matches up fairly well with the real thing. The final touch of course was - white face paint.Overall it looks pretty good, but I`m fairly certain PC modders can improve on it somehow.
As far as skills go,I thought about - heavy armour, two handed, smithing, block ( right side only ) enchanting.Any help/tips to improve on this idea would be welcome - thanks

How do you plan on healing damage done to you? Will you just buy potions, craft them yourself (Alchemy), or will you put anything into the Restoration school?

Restoration has a perk that causes healing spells to also restore stamina. Theoretically, you take down a few opponents, quickly pop a healing spell, then take your weapon back out and keep steamrolling.

Just an idea.

he could go with the ring of namira as that excellarates the health regeneration....and i can just totally picture one of those orcs eating the flesh of its slain enemies

Thanks for the suggestion  The flesh eating idea would be a good addition.

oh and i would definently get the orcish armor once you get smithing up to that point. i could just imagin your orc now, orcish armor, giant war axe, going into a group of bandits and just destroying everything it sees, only to stop momentarily to bend down and slurp up some human intestine for a quick snack. haha

I was thinking more along the lines of the leader who got his head chopped off by Aragon at the end of part one,I`m sure he only used a sword after he fired the bow,but I could well be wrong  I appreciate you pointing that out though.Looks as though I may need to rethink my skills

the leader (i know he had a name but forgot it) used a bow, then used a 1 handed sword. he does use a shield, at least to pin Aragorn by the neck to a tree to try to decapitate him. he does occasionaly weild the sword with both hands, but anyone can do that to get more power behind the swing.

i recomend for weapons an orc longsword and shield, or maybe the bloody targe as it has spikes on it and does bonus damage with a bash. as well as orc bow and armor.

sorry for the late post, been busy :)
glad you like the sig Sylynce :D

Yeah its been a while since I watched Lord of the Rings to be honest, can`t remember the leader`s name either  Many thanks for all your help by the way.I appreciate your advice and will change the skill set-up,luckily I haven`t actually started the character  I will stick with Orc armour and weapons and take the following skills: one handed, block, heavy armour, smithing, restoration, enchanting, maybe some archery too depending on how many points are left.THanks again.

My fighting Uruk-Hai Orc has finally been brought to life, and is running amok throughout Skyrim  decided to go with: one handed, block, heavy armour, smithing, enchanting, archery. He`ll be heading to Alftand fairly soon to aquire the Targe of the Blooded shield to enhance his shield bashing, and will definately be collecting the ring of Namira also so he can devour his prey  The black Orc look with white face paint looks pretty excellant I think.A big thanks :thanks: goes out to everyone for all the help in putting it together :woot:

This sounds great! I was thinking of doing an orc/uruk build sometime.

If you're looking for some names for Uruk Hai, named Uruks have included:
  • Lurtz
  • Mauhúr
  • Vrasku
  • Ugluk
  • Shagrat
Edit: Oh yeah, if crossbows are inlcuded in the DLC I'd take one of those too.

While restoration would be practical, if you really want an Uruk-Hai I would stay away from magic. I don't think LotR orcs ever used wizardry. The ring of Namira idea is (imo) much more loyal to the character you're going for.

There are orc shamans mentioned, they serve the Nazgúl. I'm pretty sure that thet're in there somewhere. Anyway if you want an Uruk Shaman you might want to check out something like this:
