That I've played over 40 hours on this play through so far....yet I get a new quest....and the location is still miles away from any location I've been to so far, and I've been doing a fair bit of dungeon crawling(mainly for word walls), and side quests....it's amazing how much there is to do.

I have four active characters that have all had different adventures so far. In all of that time, I have never been to Windhelm. There are also dozens of dungeons I have not seen, nor even found. I've only completed one Guild questline, and maybe finished two Daedric quests.

I've played through a ton of different characters but still haven't done more than one Daedric quest. With a few exceptions, those things are pretty hard to just stumble upon. Perhaps it's because I turned off the magic "I can see buildings from hundreds of meters away through mountains" compass. If you are starting to feel like the game is stale or boring, I highly reccomend turning it off. Exploration really becomes exploration instead of walking in a line staring at the compass.

200 hours and I discover or am shown a new location on almost every session, (though obviously more and more repeat visits to locations these days)

Indeed, there is much content in this game. I have played since release and I still find new things.

Just one problem, that turns off the health bar too. I tried it, and I freaking love the game without the compass, but unless I'm a tank I die way too frequently to turn off the hud.

I hear that :D
