Argonian Help

Post » Thu Jun 14, 2012 6:12 am

I have finished a run through of oblivion as my argonian, Dan-ji, and am carrying him over to skyrim. But now I'm wondering if I should give him an extra on the name e.g.
Dan-ji the unending
The immortal

Also as an argonian, I am wondering if I should join the empire or stormcloaks. Thinking about the great war, if I helped the storm cloaks they will be helpless and support less, plus the empire will be weaker to argonian invasion.
If I join the empire they could be strong enough to fight the aldmeri dominion, when that is over they will be weak and susceptible to argonian invasion

argonians do not invade, we are more-or-less docile unless the hist sees fit to change that. and you should support the stormcloaks soley for the fact that it is time to give someone besideds the emporer (who managed to screw up war efforts for years to come because of his stupid mistake of surrendering) a chance

at least, that is this argonian's* opinion

*for you who do not like to have fun please read this as argonian fan's

I believe we invaded Morrowind...The abolition of slavery improved relations with Morrowind, but Argonians did not forget the transgressions of the Dark Elves. The ramifications of the arrival of the Nerevarine, especially the loss of their living gods, left the Dunmer very weak at the beginning of the Fourth Era, and the Argonians had emerged from the Oblivion Crisis more unified, stronger and ambitious than ever before. Taking advantage of the eruption of Red Mountain that weakened Morrowind, they successfully and ruthlessly INVADED mainland Morrowind, driving the remaining Dunmer out of their ancestral homeland and onto the small island of Solstheim and across Tamriel.
Emphasis on the invaded (thanks UESP)
Don't forget the first Question please

Not an actual book, just an image someone on the forums here whipped up, and I'm using.

And yes, Fribbit, the Saxhleel did invade, but the abolition of slavery wasn't very defined. Was it total abolition, or was it abolition in name only? Nothing is known whether relations between Black Marsh and Morrowind eased, but war over territory was constantly there. Hence, the only real land the Saxhleel actually took was the contested territory of southern Morrowind. Don't use UESP as a primary source, it's horrific when it comes to that end. Instead, actually read the source material (The real life TES books, Rising Threat, Pocket Guide to the Empire 3rd Edition).

Even on Tamriel, the Saxhleel are very alien, and that says something when we look at the dunmer.

i know, but it would make a good book :teehee:

and (to add) that was a rare event. argonians have withstood years of slavery and border disputes by just defending instead of invading, so they are, for the most part, docile.

This is true. Then again, the Hist are very ancient and very patient.

Frank, point is? In the history of Tamriel, the Saxhleel were very kind as invaders, as far as invasions go. Save for Tiber and Reman, everyone else would have sought total domination, annihilation, and/or enslavement. The Saxhleel were merely sending a message.

that has no bearing on anything in this thread, besides, the argonians could have easily taken the southern areas of morrowind without the nice distraction of a disaster (which is where we stoped our assault). the only real problem the argonians would have (and would over-come eventually) would be your living "gods", which, hopefully, are not living anymore.

the thing about the name? that is just entirely up to you. do you think it sounds better with a title? has he earned a title? we know next to nothing about him other than he lived for a long time so i dont really know if he should change his name

It does because you claim you are a peaceful people, lizard. And there's no way without the eruption that Argonia could have feasibly invaded Morrowind.

i never said we were pacifists, retaliation is fine, noone is that peaceful. and we easily could have if your annoying false gods are out of the way (who, by the way, could have easily stoped the eruption years ago, you shot yourselves in the foot by worshipping a fake)
