Thadious was born to a very well off family in High Rock. It was not a typical Breton family, however. Against standard qualities of Breton life, Thadious' father was a great warrior, once a member of the Imperial Legion, who shunned magic. His father shunned magic after watching a close friend of his become consumed and corrupted by dark magics. Thadious' curiosity of magic led him to a close, trusted friend of his father's at a young age, who taught him little about magic, but just enough to pique his curiosity.
As he grew older, so did his curiosity about magic. This unfortunately led him right into the hands of a twisted a corrupt mage - once the friend of his father. Thadious' curiosity turned dangerous, as his was now the captive of this dark mage. It was years before he'd be able to devise a plan to escape. When he finally would, he'd find that he was out of his element. He was no longer in Daggerfall, but instead now he was in eastern Cyrodiil. Little did he know that the dark mage who had captured him had once been the Champion of Cyrodiil, given an unnaturally long life by his curse of vampirism. Once Thadious had finally escaped, he fled. After reaching the nearby Chorrol, he learned that he was indeed in Cyrodiil. From there he headed north, arriving in Bruma, and crossing the Jerall Mountains into Skyrim. Unfortunately for Thadious, it was here that he stumbled upon an Imperial Legion ambush of some members of the Stormcloak rebellion, and Thadious became entangled in the mix. He was sent as a prisoner to Helgen, where he was to be executed beside the likes of Ulfric Stormcloak for treason to the Empire. Through a twisted sense of fate, Thadious was spared of his demise, only now to be thrust into the conflict of the returning dragons.
Armed with the skills of a warrior, passed on from his father, and the arts of dark magic that he learned while in captivity, Thadious set off towards Whiterun, unknowing that his destiny in Skyrim would be more than he could ever have imagined.
