I remember playing Morrowind and there was a character that always had like 50,000 gold and you can sell him mad stuff.... It was an Imp and Mud Crab.

Is there any vendors similar to them in Skyrim?

If you do the thieves guild sidequestline the fences will get 4000 gold, 5000 with a certain speech perk. Other than that weapon smiths tend to have around 1000-1140 gold while nearly everyone else has 750(+1000 with the perk).

Edit: You can use the skill trainers who are also salesmen, such as Grelka in Riften, or the teachers at the college. This will let you sell them more pricey items and get your money back.
