damage display?

This is both an 'Is this a glitch?' question, and a more general question about mechanics.

I'm wondering if there is some inconsistency with the way damage is displayed in the menus. A few days ago my bows were doing in the high 80s for damage, but today they are showing in the high 50s.

Basically, someone please tell me this is just a display glitch and my bow damage hasn't suddenly and inexplicably dropped by 30 points!

Some more details:

Character level 30
Archery skill ~85 with 4/5 base perks, 1/3 Critical Shot, 1/2 Steady Hand and everything else up to Quick Shot and Ranger
Smithing skill ~28; tree is totally unperked
Enchant skill ~66, with 3/5 base perks and Fire Enchanter
Fortify Archery gloves for +22% damage; Fortify Archery circlet for +20% damage

I know all of that stuff shouldn't really be relevant, since the damage from enchantments would be separate from the base damage of the bow, but thought I'd mention it anyway, just in case.

So, how much damage should a character like that be doing with, say, a Dwarven Bow (smithed to Fine)? Is the high 80s too high, or is the high 50s too low?

I recall in the 1.6 beta patch log, it mentions fixing damage display inconsistencies.

Thanks! You know, that would make a lot of sense - I got the beta the day after it became available. So wrapped up in the mounted combat aspect that I forgot to consider other changes.

So I guess my earlier display of 85+ damage must have been the incorrect one. Ah well. High 50s (not counting criticals, enchants, sneak attacks, arrows, poisons) is still pretty good for that level of skill, right?
