Clear Skys shout

Is there a method to using this, it has only worked once when I fired it past a mountain and the radius hit then it worked. Are you supposed to just shoot it into the sky or do you aim at ground or rocks. Also yes this is after the quest.

I have always yelled at the sky when using that one.

Also, you have to wait for the effect to take place. If you rush the weather too much, you get hurricanes and droughts and other messes. No, not in this game, the real world.... So, the weather transitions from good to bad to good in the game take time as they should. Even if you tell the weather to change, it still has to transition.

I only ever used it to get to the top of the throat of the world, I didn't even know you could use it on the actual weather. I like it when it's cloudy anyway, except at night.

Yeah on my first play through I was confused by this. But all you do is hold thee shout to its maximum strength towards the sky. That should clear up thinks like train and blizzards and stuff.

It works great for me in Riften but in snowy areas where I need it, eh not so much. It will stop the snow inside Windhelm but doesn't seem to have any effect in Winterhold.

It's one of my favorite shouts. I love using it to clear a snow storm and then watch the clouds clear to reveal the beautiful Aurora Borealis.

I've often used the shout when approaching bandit infested castles during inclement weather... belt out a couple and you can get a clear shot at the fellas on the battlements. I've often wondered, however, why this tactic (entertaining as it is), never seems to alarm, or even arouse curiousity in the defenders.

It worked when I was past the road out of winterhold far away, I could see the college in the distance.

I use it all the time (I hate cloudy days!). If you use the full shout, it slowly clears up but if you only use the first word in the shout a couple times, it clears faster.

Someone posted recently about using it to stagger enemies. A cheaper alternative to Unrelenting Force. I haven't tried it yet, though.

Indeed it does. I think most shouts with "oomph" staggers some.
