New, better home.

Do you guys think there's any way that we'll get a new, and much better home (perhaps a castle of some sort) in the up-coming DLC? I'm really hoping that we get something because I'm not real big on any of the current available homes and I play on the 360 so I don't have the luxury of mods.

I would like a couple new houses as well. I think having one or two put into the settlements would be nice. Places like Shor's Stone are so beautiful, and small town life might be fun. I do really like Honeyside though. I just bought it for the first time, and I've fallen in love with the back deck and dock. That little cabin would suit me best in real life.

The most complete and user friendly home is Honeyside. The only thing wrong with it is that it's too small. Kind of like a studio apartment with a basemant. But my favorite is still Vindrel Hall.

What I would like is a place that has 6-8 mannequins. Not a hall of mannequins, but set up in a way so that they're tastefully located. There should be one near the entry, one or two each in the alchemy and enchanting rooms. One or two in the dining room, etc. So that they're a natural looking part of the home--you wouldn't have to go out of your way to stare at them.

Also, more weapons displays.

This would require a large house and that's fine with me.

It would be awesome if in dawnguard you become the leader of something, and get a castle for it.

Oblivion DLC included a number of new homes, each one targeted towards a different playstyle. To me, they seemed a little too gimmicky and they didn't blend with the rest of the game well. Plus, I think you had to purchase each one separately, which was bogus. I think it's perfectly reasonable to expect new player homes in DLC. hopefully they will be bundled with a bigger package, though.

I would love to see NPCs offer their homes for sale - they're moving to Seyda Neen perhaps. If the character has completed a gnarly quest for the homeowner there could be nice discounts/benefits.....

That way we would have many many choices. It's always killed me to see all the cool NPC homes (especially in Oblivion) and then look at mine...

There are enough homes as is... each guild gives you free lodging you end up owning at the end of the guild. You have the forts you liberate each side of the civil war questline. You have the buyable homes, and also the free shacks you get around the wild ie alchemists shack. No more freakin homes. Putting a big castle right in the middle of the map wouldnt make sense. It didnt in Oblivion and it wont in Skyrim.

I want a decent sized cabin on top of a snowy mountain. Why are all default homes always inside city walls?

I'm eagerly anticipating news about Dawnguard. One of my first questions is whether or not we'll have a new home from this DLC. And I'd really like for it to be a castle-like home with hidden doors/rooms. All the available houses just simple don't suit what I like to do in the game.

Well with the next DLC seeming to be centered around Vampires and the Snow Elfs... i would love a Lair, or even a Castle. But with the Castle, from time to time i would like it to get attacked, and you have to upgrade its defences.

I like seeing change happen to things. Must be why i liked Broken Steel so much in Fallout 3.

Something like BattleHorn Castle. That place was awesome! The wine cellar, the secret passages and all of the servents. It just needs to be harder to obtain.

I like the idea of owning a ship that we can use as a player home and take it with us to any city that has docks by the ocean. It would also be a nice way to travel to any additional area in a future DLC

Zoning ordinance.
We have the ability to enter houses outside the city. Even the Abandoned shack could be almost classed as a home. Why not have something larger?
