Mage - Have destruction been patched?

Post » Thu Jun 14, 2012 1:58 pm

One thing I'm still not sure about tho (I am aware of that this is starting to get slightly off topic lol) is how much magicka/hp I should aim for when planning to enchant my gear with less destr cost. The problem I had with my first mage was that I spent way to many levels into magicka and thus would get 1shot if hit. This time around, knowing I will not need as much magicka for destro at least, which is pretty much the only type of magic that is getting spammed - I'm trying to put more levels into health, but then from time to time feel like i HAVE to spend points into magicka as obviously my gear isnt completed yet while still in the lower levels - and thus sometimes my pool is to low.

Any pointers? (Please no response from people saying they spend everything into magicka because they are a mage and dont do enchanting derp.

I put almost all my points into magicka until I get to a level where my enchanted gear can see me through most battles. Unitl I get to that point I'll put about 5-1 in favor of magicka. After that, it's all health.

Ok thanks, I'm still in that old mindset from back in like Diablo 2 - suffer for half the game so that you can be awsome later on, also known as min/max. Way to do that would be to have a set number that you know you will need even if you had no destro cost at all (for casting illu/alt spells etc) Go to that number, dump the rest into hp.. svck for 20 levels or more til you get the gear you were aiming for :P

I just came to think of another way of doing things, let's say you dont fancy using any weapons yourself to apply resist debuffs on your enemies, I guess you could enchant a weapon with a resist debuff and have your follower use it (if you have one).
