Best Things About Skyrim?

Post » Thu Jun 14, 2012 6:40 am

Hey! I'm working on some kind of master list of features/improvements that could be implemented into the next Elder Scrolls game.

So tell me what was your favorite things about Skyrim? Personally I loved dual wielding, the additional voice actors, the quests and dungeons!

Everything above + ...

1. The rush I get from the combat. It's a little slow paced but it's evoling nicely since past TES games.
2. The control and level of customization I have over my character (and the world when using the CK).

The only thing I really like in Skyrim is the Daedric Quests.

This. Skyrim (and all TES/Fallout titles they've made) creates a sense of awe and exploration that no other game ever has.

As I always say, the best thing about Skyrim the game is Skyrim the province. Cyrodiil could feel a bit odd, meeting trolls and the like during what otherwise might feel like a Girl Guides' jaunt through the woods. As well as the views, the wildlife and the weather, the land feels wild and forbidding; those creatures that want to eat your face, the ancient ruins, the stones and walls and the like really feel like they belong in this land.

The stories that are woven into the landscape. If you stumble off the beaten path, you're sure to come across them: a summit that once took the life of an ill-fated bard; a perfect circle of mushrooms growing at random in the wild; a Dwemer ruin that takes advantage of a reckless adventurer's curiosity to send them tumbling down a rabbithole ripped straight out of Alice In Wonderland. Things that have no connection to any quests, no real significance. Things that make Skyrim feel like an established world of its own rather than just a playground for bored gamers.
