Did I mess up?

I was level 40 somthing and always did fine fighting dragons even elder ones.
Ii could pretty much just stand in the flames so what i did was , i power leveled my smithing to 90 so i could make a legendary daedric bow.
So i did and it has 180 damage , my ebony one had like 90 but in doing that I went from lvl 40 to 46 and im not sure what happened I made the bow threw on an enchant and went to test out my bow at a dragons lair and it was an anchient dragon , and im like cool, but one flame attack basically killed me i have 100 archery and 330 HP and i figured the extra like 80 damage on the bow would make up for the 6 levels.
Is the rest of the game going to be this hard now? my char is an assasin/ archer type and I just want some opinions.

Well... There is a point when Alduin begins resurecting even deadlier dragons. Your screwed... But heres a tip, stay on the move. Be Quick. Get archery to the point of 100, and get the Ranger and Quick Draw Perk. Get Stealth up all the way, and get silent roll. You need to stay agile if you wana take out these new Dragons.

You can do it, i believe in you!

Get a high lvl meatshield since they tend to draw focus away from you, i had Stenvar run up and cut up a Ancient Dragon sure he kneeled a few times but was okay in the end + the dragon ignored me most of the time.

Ancient dragons are supposed to be tough, but not all the dragons you meet from now on will be ancient. Just think of them as bosses. They are classed as level 50, but can actually start to appear from level 35, so your levelling up wouldn't have changed that. They will become more common when you hit 50 though, so maybe spend the next few levels working on maxing armour and getting some decent fire/frost/magic resistance.

I releaded from before i leveled up and put less in stamina more in health, took a follower and shadowmere up there with some potions and anti magic armor and took it down (barely)
Also i tested the bow on a giant and wow it was great so I think ill just have to be carefull around anchient dragons

ps: lowering the diff is cheating anything below the middle is to easy
