question to skyrim devs

After seeing the Game Jam video I was wondering what features are going to be added? Some are really cool, other than a few ones that clash with the game I can see all of them being added! Would the hardware of the Xbox and PS3 allow these to be added to the game? I think it would be fantastic of they could be :) otherwise you'll just have to release them as official mods on the workshop or nexus ;)

My question is if it only took 1 week to create all that stuff what is the excuse for it not already being in game?

Answer: Deadline forced them to work on the main game and I've heard features are on disk but locked off because they would crash the game.

Why I ask if I know the answer? To make a point.

Never heard that before. What features are alleged to have been "locked off"?

The stuff was done over a week. IT takes a lot longer for optimization in the case of the graphical features we saw and just as long for other stuff to be balanced and properly implemented (Hence why early reports of Horse Combat are that it''s clunky and awkward).

Unless you have actual proof than that is just your opinion. And it's the same one that gets rolled out for every additional feature that ever got added by a DLC for any game. (And that was only true in the case of the Resident Evil 5 Multiplayer DLC)

Also if said features were on the disks, somebody would have found proof by now. Either via the CK since they'd be within the game files themselves or because some users have other reasons for digging through disc data.

you do know skyrim is running the data limit on a standard DVD to the limits. This means xbox is would suffer from any big additions. That may be the reason they are getting released as updates. But im not 100%sure.

I would say because the things they made are basically mods they still need to test out the bugs on other processors, maybe riding a horse with a specific weapon crashes? They need to test that stuff out and also port it over to console along with testing again.
