Bethesda - Will Vampires get skillbalance tweaks for melee b

It seems in Skyrim those that favor Vamps have builds that take advantage of things like Illusion and Destruction.

Can melee builds get some love? How about a new Skill Tree altogether for Vamps that branches off to sparkly magic vamps, and bloodthirsty beefy hamburgerlars?

vampires are the monster of magic, if anything should get tweaked for melee it is werewolves, they are the monsters of might but they are borderline useless due to poor (read: no) leveling of the werewolf form

The damage scales with your level, you hit for 80 damage at the highest version. Consider how fast the power (double/triple damage) attacks hit for when in beast form, but unfortunately you can't take many hits, all you get is +100 health and stamina.

There are different vamps with different specialties in almost all types of vamp lore. Even in TES games.

Oblivion for example

  • http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Athletics
  • http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Destruction

  • http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Mysticism
  • http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Sneak

Of course the removal of skills and stats in Skyrim is a primary reason for this huge nerf of Vamps. Since we obviously are not going to get stats and skills back, they could at least create some new perks to buff up Melee toons. Otherwise, people who go Vamp will likely do the cookie cutter build, otherwise you intentionally self gimp.

the health/armour rating could use a boost imo, werewolves are a deadric beast in nature so they should be given a reason to be feared (and they should appear out in desolet areas in the wilderness and be skyrim's version of a deathclaw)

-snip snip-

i know vampires all have diferent abilities but the ones in skyrim are all The Order vampires (which i hate almost as much as the vampire lord things) which are pretty much just fast talkers and (to a lesser extent) magic users, if the volkhiar were in, though, then powerful melee vampires would fit better
