Content in DLCs

Post » Thu Jun 14, 2012 3:20 pm

Skyrim is the first video game I've played in 10 years, the last being Morrowind. What I want to know is how much content is there in a DLC? IOW, if Skyrim's content = 100%, how much content will a DLC have? 5% of the content of the original game? 20%?

I'm sure it's different for each game but generally what's the norm?

Boy...that is a hard question to answer. They range from less than 5% to upwards of 30%...maybe. I would hope that this is close to 20% of the Skyrim content...I hope. Again it is anybody's guess.

EDIt : The more I think about it...If we use projected hrs of gameplay as a medium. Skyrim is around 300. Shivering Isles was around 40-45. They said that, if I understand, the Skyrim DLCs would be compared to but less than SI. If we assume that it will be around 30-36 hrs, then that is 10-12%.

20%-30% seems about right for a expansion-style DLC.

Basically, think of a new faction questline with a landmass about the size of a hold or half of a hold. That's basically what an Expansion-Style DLC would be.

I can't see it being more than 15%. Not for $10. SI was what...$30? IDK, because I discovered TES w/Oblivion, as a GOTY.

EDIT : Sorry, it will be $20.
