Is it possible to findbuy a decent bow, or do I have to smit : V - Skyrim

I made my own, but, in a pinch, the Nightengale bow from the Thieves Guild quest line is a pretty good bow. Otherwise, random loot and checking all the shops are going to be your best bet if your smithing is low, or you don't have the materials to make a good one and improve it.

true, nightengale bow is great and you dont have to have a high smithing skill to get in

According to the wiki, the Nightingale bow has a higher DPS than the Daedric bow. I got it late in the game so its level was maxed. Always something to consider when planning for a unique item.

If you don't smith, bound bow is the best bow in the game. It's awesome and fun to use. Go to Fort Amol and kill a bunch of wizards. There is a Bound Bow spell book inside a bucket somewhere in the building.

You mean if you don't smith or enchant, right? Isn't the Bound Bow identical to an unimproved, unenchanted Daedric with Daedric arrows? In other words, Wouldn't a Daedric bow with additional damage enchants be more powerful?

Also Tonilla at Thieves Guild sells bows with really good enchantments.

If you do the side jobs from Vex and Delvin (20 total, 5 for each of the four given holds) you get four additional merchants in the Ragged Flagon, three of whom sell weapons and armor. They also leave some nice enchanted gear sitting around for you to steal if you so desire... You can even go ahead and sell it to Tonilia and buy it back to get rid of the stolen tag (at the cost of a few hundred/thousand septims).

I always go with bound bow and the perks that i could wasted in smithing i invest them into enchanting so i can get a really overpowerd bow :biggrin:

yeah thats the one he's talking about. yeah it pretty good, but it just a elven bow with some enchantments
