I had to uninstall my game(I am using steam) and remove all my save files because a mod corrupted my game, and now whenever I try to launch the game again it crashes to desktop right after the bethesda logo. This has never happened to me before, can someone please help?

You'll need to start here on this question as if the game never worked at all, and supply the full set of normal diagnostic information.

A few things come to mind:

1) Post your load order Edit: Plus a Dxdiag

2) Did you delete the Skyrim and SkyrimPrefs ini files in the directory where your saves are located? An uninstall does not remove them, so try deleting them, then opening up the Skyrim launcher to generate fresh ones.

3) Do you use SKSE or Script Dragon? 1.6 went live a few days ago, so those would need to be updated (Script Dragon was just updated).

4) Did you update any of your mods after a reinstall? You may have a faulty mod.

Edit: 5) Did you update any drivers/Are your drivers up to date? You may have a driver that doesn't agree with Skyrim

Uninstall (don't just disable them, all their loose files (scripts, meshes, whathaveyou) need to be out of the Data directory) any and all mods, refresh your INI files, and verify the files. If it works, test with the mods. If it doesn't work with mods but it does without, it's most likely a mod issue and you'll get better help here: http://www.gamesas.com/forum/183-skyrim-mods/
