after i heated the gem the first time it does not want to work now i went to every other marker and still nothing i tried to reload that didnt work either

What do you mean by not work. I did this quest a few days ago. You just place it, zap it, take it times 3 & then give it back to Arnie. Nothing really happens, from my recollection. Don't miss all the Dwarven loot in the last spot if you're working on smithing, by the way.

Be sure you have Arnie's special spell equipped, not your normal flame spell.

yes i had that epuiped when i flamed the next converter thing it didnt do anything i was flaming it till i ran out of Magicka and still nothing
