So.. for 360 users who get to beta test the new material...

Are they going to get the DLC for free when it's fully polished or pay for it? I'm not saying we should get a benefit, I'm just curious.

Most likely pay. I can't think of any reason as to why they'd be given a free pass.

The only reason I'd think for them to get a free pass is that they'd have the new material on their Xbox already, will they be forced to not play that file anymore once the real one is released?

Pretty sure Xbox Beta testers get it for free.

Oh.. well, that'd make more sense, as long as you aren't forced to start all over.

No, it's the full version. Those who are selected will not have to pay for Dawnguard.

I'm sure there have been timed releases over Xbox Live before, and if not, consoles are the kings of DRM. There is really nothing the average joe can do if simple scripts are used to corrupt the file or make it otherwise unplayable after the beta. I'm sure there will be some checks in place.

Agggghhhh so excited for Dawnguard. Even if I was lucky enough to be selected as a beta tester, I'd still gladly pay for the DLC. It'd have to be pretty terrible content for me to walk away from any Skyrim expansion...

I mean, it's not horse armor, so that's something.

Zexis, same here! I'd pay for it if I had to, I love Skyrim, although I haven't played any of the other games.

You get full dlc, then when it comes out of beta, you can patch it and have the same content as the newly tested retail version. Makes sense to test it thouroughly, the more problems you report, the more comprehensive the fix patch will be.

They are only selecting like 300 people for beta testing. Thats like a handful of people compared to the amount of people who play the game so most likely we get it for free.
