Quick question about vampire lord mechanics

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 4:54 am

After seeing all of the stuff on the new vampire lord mode (flying monster one) it got me thinking about a few things

Can we die from falling?

Ok so as you can see in the trailer you can sort of fly/hover above the ground. So if I were to hover over a cliff....could you die from the fall or not seeing as you would probably still be hovering at the bottom.

Will over vampires attack me?

Ok so really its in the name, you will be a vampire LORD, so will other vampires still attack you, and if so will transforming stop them?

Werewolf weakness?

In most stories and films with vampires and werewolves, werewolves usually come out on top. It's usually something like a werewolf bite can kill a vampire or something like that. So for these new vampires will they (and their new form) be vulnerable to werewolves?

I realise that people most likely wont know the answers to this so any speculations or logical reasonings to try and work out the answers would be apreciated

Something makes me think that if they would prevent us from fall damage, they would also compensate by adding slowfall back to the game. Otherwise I don't think they are going to add that to the game. If they do, I'm definitely jumping off stuff to get to areas I shouldn't

1- this could be answered by pushing a dragon priest off a cliff. Don't know what actually happens but they share the same hover effect so I assume it would be similar.

2- most likely since they always have and their a different strain. Don't believe any of the volkain will however.

3-doubt it since in the elder scrolls their has never been any big connection between the two.

this is all just speculation so don't take it for fact.

Yeah... If the vampires attacked before when you were already a vampire, I'm guessing seeing you transform won't really make a difference. As for the fall damage, I think it will remain the same.

And the last, you'll probably end up taking the same amount of damage (which is a lot anyways) . And plus, there are hardly any werewolves in skyrim...

Can we die from falling?
I suspect we will still get fall damage, although with the "bat transformation" or Become Ethereal shout we probabaly wouldn'y so it possible we wont.

Will over vampires attack me?
My original Thought is i expect they will, different strain or what not... However wolves dont attack Werewolves so theres possibly some who won't, but if none of them did some quests involving killing Vampires will lose their edge.

Werewolf weakness?
I suspect not, i'm guessing they'll still have the same weakness to silver as werewolves and undead things do.

But as pretty much everyone said it's all speculation at the moment.

you can already do that with become ethereal...i take shortcuts off cliffs all the time ;)

I really hope they add wandering werewolves at night like the lying load screen says

I'm wondering if they add the stereotypical garlic weakness....garlic tipped arrows for the crossbow would be funny :P
