Anyone else gonna do Van Helsing?

A guy with an awesome crossbow that kills supernatural enemies all the time.. Ended up becoming a Werewolf to kill Dracula and end the Vampire Race.

In the Hugh Jackman movie...

Originally he was one of the protagonists of Bram Stoker's Dracula.

Van Helsing is one of my favorite guilty pleasure movies. Not that I think it's particularly bad (though I don't particularly care for Frankenstein's Monster's design). The effects are wonderful and it's a great romp through silliness and a good light movie to watch during October.

The reason I brought it up is because it's like saying Mr. Hyde is this giant lumbering ape-man (as shown in Van Helsing) when really that's not the case in the source material, or that Thor is a super hero. It's fine to cite the new versions of the character, but I wouldn't describe the plot of the anime Hellsing if someone asked me about Dracula.

Yeah I actually looked it up on Rotten Tomatoes, it came out in 2004, and got 23% out of 208 critic reviews.

Just admit it, it was a crappy action/special effects movie with a dark/vampire/werewolf theme. Kinda fun, but still pretty dumb.

Some people LIKE that stuff. Asserting your opinion as fact makes people think:

A. You're trolling
B. You're opinionated and stubborn

Nah. We all have our own opinions. I like it. You dislike it. All understandable. Just don't go and say that it was crappy like it is a fact.

The vampires look cooler, but I don't want to give up my werewolf form. So I guess I just might have to take up the crossbow.
