Why's everyone suddenly suggesting a spear is 2h weapon? A spear clearly is a weapon that can be wielded with 1h. Polearm weapons are the 2h weapons you looking for.

spears are almost always one handed... halberts are more likely the 2 handed part.

The problem wth making spears 1 handers is that they can then be dual wielded.......which is kind of stupid.

They were two-handed in Morrowind.

Spears seem cool, i'm just really worried they might have the same animation as other weapons and wont stab, it would just take away alot of the fun and feeling of one if you swing it about

They could probably restrict that somehow. I think one handed would be better because that way you could do a viking style character, and Skyrim begs for that.


No, if they do it, they will probably use new animations like the ones in the Game Jam video. In fact, they'd probably polish and test those and incorporate them into whatever patch or DLC it is.
