Is the Vampire Lord transformation like the Werewolf one?

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 7:09 am

What I mean by this is I read somewhere on this forum that you'd be able to transform into the Vampire Lord form and back at will. What I want to know is if this is once a day like the Werewolf except with the ability to change back or if this is a whenever you want and as much as you want thing.

it will probably be a once a day thing like most powers in skyrim but there is no way to know for sure until it is out

It'd be quite nice if you could transform as much as you want and stay it as long as you want. Being a Vampire Lord but only being able to sustain such power or limited time just defeats the purpose to me.

Frankly, we still don't know yet. But I think you can change anytime you want, meaning it won't be a once a day thing. Seeing as how you can transform and back at will, what's stopping you from staying in that form for, say, an in-game day. But as a drawback, I've read that you can only use spells in the vampire lord form.

Hm? Only spells? Well that makes sense. That's a reason I'm leveling my spells now, I'm level 45 and only just started using Magic, I plan to stick with just Magic now, I already have all the sneak perks, a few pickpocket, a decent light armor, and a decent one handed/bow.

So by will you mean as much as we want per day? Because you can transform into a Werewolf at will, just can't transform again for a day.

I't says you can transform into the Vampire Lord form and back to human form at will instead of waiting like the Lycanthrope but no it still has no information if they have a time based trasformation. We will find out tommorow from E3.

Oh, that'd be really nice to be honest, I'd love to be cornered or on the edge of death and just transform and tear them to pieces.

Maybe there will a small delay timer or something but you will be able to change your form more often than a werewolf, that's for sure.

I would hope for no delay timer, but a 3-9 times a day times would be awesome!

Yea i think so too, If there is possibly a timer for the Vampire Lord transformation then it will be on a whole different scale then the werewolf one. One thing i think will have a similarity though is the feeding to boost up the time.

In the trailer the vampire lord only appears at night, so maybe you can only transform then. They're is also the fact that there is a new way to eat people as a vampire lord so maybe you have to eat a certain amount of people before transforming. This guy looks seriously overpowered (not that I'm complaining) and I doubt Bethesda will make it easy for us to use him.

Another thing I'd love to know is for the Vampire Lord Tree...

Will these perks be reset each time you stop being a Vampire Lord?

Also, I had read the perks will be associated with feedings, not with level ups..

Maybe we will have to feed a few times to unlock the ability to transform more than once. I will enjoy feeding on people while awake.

Only at night?..I don't think so..cave and dungeon exploring at day and not be able to transform becouse of the daytime would be a bad thing.I think you will be able to transform at any daytime, night or day wont matter.

I don't think the sun will factor into the story for transformation wise, it will just weaken you like any other vampire but obviously you would be much tougher considering you are a Lord and all. If you noticed in the trailer when the Elder Scroll was blotting out the sun it wasn't in the DLC area, it looked like it was in Skyrim itself. So maybe if you choose the Vampires side and make sun go all fizzy it will have an effect on all of Skyrim not just the DLC. I also predict that the monsters from the DLC will integrate into Skyrim if you choose this option.

I wouldn't mind feeding to unlock perks that stay forever so I could transform more often, it's a bit like a roleplay, you get used to your powers as you progress and grow stronger.

If it was unlimited I think it should sacrifice our hunger, maybe being a Lord intensifies your blood thirst.

Nice observation with the all of skyrim bit. I for one probably won't block out the sun just because I like my sun shine every once in a while but there has to be another catch and I really hope it's not feasting on random people.

I'd rather feast and have Unlimited transformations, especially because as a Vampire Lord, you can feast on both the living and the dead, so you can just feast on those you kill after turning into a Lord and needing to feed again.
