I plan on becoming a Vampire and getting rid of my Werewolf

Post » Thu Jun 14, 2012 9:03 pm

I'm a Level 47 Khajiit who has every perk in sneak and is decent at picking locks, I have Superior Nightingale Armor and Weapons as well as Mehrune's Dagger.

Should I go through with this?

Might as well, to me so far it seems like the Vampire Lord's powers are just too epic to pass up unless you really like werewolfs.

Spoiler
Powers include- Levitation, a force-choke type of spell that suspends an enemy in air while you drain his energy, and you can summon/turn into a swarm of bats to name a few

I actually just made this Kahjiit character a bit back, it got glitched so I'm into making him a Vampire Lord when I can. :D

Once you get rid of lycathropy you can't get it back, So you sure want to become a vampire? You can catch vampirism numerous times.

Well, what I mean is the normal Vampire, not the Vampire Lord, I'll do the lord after the DLC is out.

I was thinking about that. Maybe the DLC will add a way for you to become a werewolf again?

Make a backup save and do it.
If you decide don't like it after a while at least you don't lose too much progress.
But don't forget that werewolves are getting a perk tree in the DLC too, so you may want to remain a fleabag until you try it out.

Buuut, if it was me, honestly, I'd make a new character specifically planned as a vamp, you have plenty of time before the DLC is released to bring him/her up to a decent level for Dawnguard (I think I read over level 10 at least).

I agree,it's probably better to wait untill we know how everything Vamp Lord related work. That's the reason i didn't start a new char for DLC yet.I'll wait untill i have all the infos i need.I would hate to restart only becouse of some small things i didn't know about the Vamp Lord.

Hope so. Because one of my characters already cured his lycanthropy and is SOL if he wants to utilize the perk tree.

The thing was that I planned to make a save before curing my disease and then trying out Vamps so I'm used to the gameplay. I already know I'll be using this Khajiit to become a Vampire Lord no matter the cons about it.

No. Sure you become more powerful overall, with all the buffs and things like necromage etc activated. But simply... the annoying warning you get everytime the sun is out... gets rather tiresome. Well it did for me, BLINGGGGG YOUR SKIN BOILS BLAH BLAH BLAH. Aghhh
Losing regen for health/stamina isn't such a big deal, as once you get far enough with restoration magic, you can just heal yourself/ replenish stamina at will.

Why not I turned one of my character's into a vamp. If you have multiple characters you can fight for either side and see which is better. I'm glad something was done about vampires. They went backwards on vamps with skyrim.

I agree with Black Sage from up top. Wait until more details are released, that way you can make an informed decision.

I've got multiple characters, one already a werewolf. I'll just keep him a werewolf and check out the skill tree with them, and then pick one of my other characters to become a vampire. But I don't know what would be the best archetype to become a vampire with, stealth, magic, or warrior? Although, gotta say, magic is pretty underpowered as it is so I wouldn't be too inclined to continue my one level 40 something mage character.
