Why is it that followers use any weapon type you give them apart from bows? For ranged attacks they always pull out what looks to be a Hunting Bow, which doesn't even show in their inventory, despite the fact I've given them a Daedric Bow smithed up to Legendary. It's pretty annoying and should be changed. Unless anyone knows a good reason for it?

Lydia often uses the Legendary Ebony Bow I gave her, but does still sleep with her Hunting Bow out and occasionally equips it instead. Is kind of annoying, and I just hope that one day there'll be a patch to allow you complete control over a Follower's or Spouse's belonging.

its annoying when the iron hand guy, despite having a legendary hammer of might uses his damn bow all the time, I gave him a legendary deadric bow so taht it might at least be effective
