The Book of fate

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 8:48 am

Ok so was in Calixos house in Windhelm, saw there was a book on the table named 'The Book of fate'
Opened it....blank.

Has anyone else found this book, and is it blank for you? or is my game bugged?

You should have taken Calixo's tour. He explains the book's origins and background.

But yes, it's always blank... for the player.

Oh so it seems, he could just be pulling your leg about its "enchantments".

'The Book of fate'.. opened it....blank.

Maybe it's a metaphor?

Also you could just go to the UESP or Wiki instead of asking on the forum

Its blank because your fate isnt decided...the fate of your dragonborn is decided by your individual actions and is different from the fate of mine.

I like how they purposefully left it blank but it would be nice to have it fleshed out as you progress the game, just like that book for the destruction ritual

And always so helpful.

I believe it's a metaphor that the Dragonborn has no predetermined fate.

I believe that directing someone to the most finite source of information related to the game rather than waiting for the responses of a hundred people on a forum who may provide explanations that are possibly false is good assistance

That's one of my favorite things about the House of Curiosities. It reminds me of THE THING? (Not the classic John Carpenter film), a little truck side oddity attraction I visited when I was really young.

Hey genius, you are right! Maybe we should all just delete our accounts and just wiki stuff. If you're not interested, then dont read, you silly little nerdling.

Perhaps I'm more interested in hearing what my fellow skyrimmers have to say, and think. Rather then the bog standard reply on wiki.

Far be it from me to let everyone know that there is this wonderful website that has an explanation for everything in the game instead of asking for the opinions of a million forumites which could take far longer and may not even be credible
