What glitch is that it would be good for assassinations with a bow and arrow.

It the glitch where you have fortify alchemy gear. You make a restoration potion, exit the alchemy menu, drink it, unequip and equip the gear, then repeat it until your potion reads like, restoration spells cost 21684751318% less or something and you get super potions next time you make it after you drink the super restoration potion.

isn't posting a glitch against forum rules? i know it is on other forums, just wondering

and I guess like Oblivion, did not really do alchemy in it, but i want to be able to chain multiple affects, of course with each affect added it would lessen the potency of the others.

There are potions that have more than one effect. Lots. For example a lot of Fortify Health potions also restore health. The damage magicka regen potions often have a strange mix of good and bad potions. I made a potion the other day that for some odd reason fell under Damage Magicka Regen but its effects were two parts fortify 1H and one part restore health. I've also made potions that paralyze but also restore X amount of health points. Strange.

There are enough effects already though---enough that they cover every skill in the game, except Fortify Alchemy.

My potions have more than one effect if two ingrediants have one effect, and the third has another effect that one of the two previous potions shares... that is vanilla Skyrim.

I've had potions with three effects, though not poisons. Though sometimes with good and bad effects. Make good money that way.

If I was looking for a tweak to Alchemy I think I'd go for a weight reduction perk. .5 for found/bought potions but then .4 for novice potions you make yourself going down to .1 weight for potions made at 100 skill.

By using 3 ingredients you can quite easily get multiple effects... I'm not sure what you mean. You just need to find an ingredient that has both effects, then stack up on those effects in the other two slots. Your paralyze + damage example can be achieved very easily by using Imp Stool and then two things with Paralyze and Damage Health respectively (e.g. Canis Root and Skeever Tail).

Next time you're alchemixing like a DJ try combining Taproot + Dwarven Oil or Deathbell + River Betty and you'll get what I mean. Unless I've missed your point entirely...

Ask and you shall recieve. You can create a ton of multiple effect potions. Below is a formula for your OP.

Spoiler
Human Flesh + Imp Stool + Slaughterfish Egg = Paralyze / Damage Health / Lingering Damage Health

As mentioned, you can have potions/poisons with multiple effects already. You just need the right ingredients.

Aside from the fortify health potions with giants toes, the ones with multiple effects are some of my best sellers.

alchemixing like a DJ

Win.

Yeah, like the others said, multiple effects are totally doable. I do miss the multiple categories of damage that allowed for some truly nasty potions in Oblivion. Then again, with the way health advances in this game, I suspect four-category damage potions aren't as necessary in Skyrim as they were in Oblivion.
