Maybe I'm just jaded, but has Bethesda really thought the Da

I thought of it more like filtering out the harmful rays that affect vampires from the sun, only the new atmosphere only lets the colour red through instead of blue.

I really have no idea how Bethesda would allow for a blocked out sun, especially when they'd need to decide which is canon. I suspect that the vampires ultimately lose. It'll be interesting to see it all play out.

Warp in the Skyrim, obviously.

They clone the sun so that all suns exist simultaneously, and the vampires are both harmed and unharmed by sunlight.

Why dont all you haters come together and make one thread about this. You guys are literally talking about the same exact thing just with different titles.

Now I assume that if you side with the vampires, you will help them succeed in blocking out the sun. Will this mean that from then on, will it always be night-time on that character?

Personally, I think that is a big assumptions that it is too early to make. I still think it is more likely that the vampire storyline will have some other twist.

Oh god, I just remembered "watch the skies" from morrowind brcause of this whole darkening the sun situation.

Now I cannot allow the vampires to win, or I will be too creeped out to play this game!!!!

I've learned that the fanbase is unpleaseable. Bethesda could create the most breathtaking story ever yet the fans would always find some flaw with it. Bethesda has thought it through so wait.

We barely know anything about the story line and you're already hammering it.

I assume civilization would resort to a Falmer-esque lifestyle. Dark ruins and glowing mushrooms with fungal plants.

The great thing about Bethesda, in my opinion, is they create the games first for themselves, as fans and creators, and then for the rest of us. It just so happens we love the same universe and experiences, and I don't think Dawnguard will be any different. I can't think of a single piece of DLC (that added new quests, which means horse armor doesn't count) they've ever released that didn't satisfy in one way or another, and their games just get better and better with each new release.

I am looking forward to Dawnguard and will buy it day one, regardless of the story or how much sense it makes.

Maybe...the vampires can't actually block out the sun? It's not out yet, let's hold a moment...

Yep I suspect this even if you try maybe they give up in the end or something happens that stops it, maybe everyone is killed but you or the rest scatter or something, anything can happy here.

Maybe either way, just speculation, Harkon (the main vampire guy, probably spelt wrong) dies preventing it from happening, if you are with the dawnguard you can then rest easy, and if you are with the vamps then you could then become the head. Just a thought

Be funny if the whole game just turns into fallout/left 4 dead (all houses become barricaded everyone becomes very suspicious and whole towns are filled with the undead minions of the vampires)

This.
I will wait and criticize the story if it needs it after I play it.
Then only then will I criticize or praise the story until we play it its all just speculation at best.

Why is veryone assuming the sun actually is affected by the vampires plan? Maybe they just buff their resistance to sunlight. Thats all, end of story.
