Dragon Armor lacking luster?

Anyone else think that the dragon armor could have looked a little more bad ass? Just sayin.

the one thing I don't like are the nails in it, I know they make it look more "realistic" but it also makes it seem a bit plasticy, maybe if they were like leather straps instead (thin ones that wove in and out)?

Dragonplate is fuggly. On one character I had Jordis wearing a set and it just looked goofy. It has almost a 1970s bell-bottom look to it. Dragonscale is okay though.

Yes. It needs alot more spikes coming out of it, for starters. I want armor so dangerous that you hurt yourself putting it on, and anyone that comes within 5ft of you gets impaled on one of its giant spikes.

It could have been very awesome burnished metal plate interwoven with dragon bones, rather than simply a load of bones stuck together with blu-tac. The scale armour isn't bad, but I feel our expectation is big; you need to be a Smithing Master to make it, after all.

I rolled with dragon armor for probably 2 hours of game time, and have rolled with Daedric for over 100. There is no comparison in the looks department.

Dont really understand why they decided to give daedric armor a higher base rating aswell - whats the point of making it 10 levels lower then, albeit it was somewhat compensated by making daedra hearts hard to aqquire but still - daedric armor makes dragonplate armor obsolete and so was a bad decision by the developers tbh.

Yes, dragon armour is a bit lacklustre. Dragonscale is not so bad but dragonplate is simply ugly. That's why I roll with enchanted Blades armour even though its rating is lower. Daedric is too "dark knight" for me.

almost nobody likes dragonplate. I think the most common consensus is that the helmet is pretty cool while the rest of the set looks straight up dumb.

Although Dragon armor is weaker than Daedric armor, it requires a higher skill because a heavy AND a light armor version can be made with the skill. There is only a heavy armor version of Daedric armor.

And dragonscale is the the best light armor, if memory serves correctly.

So moving that down would make glass obsolete from the start on the light armor side.

I don't mind either, though I prefer Dragonscale, (which is useful as my character has a higher Light Armour rating). I travel with Lydia and she's currently in Dragonplate, and it does make her look fat, but I think it's quite cool.

And because I went clockwise round the Smithing Tree, I'll never be able to craft Deadric, unless I Power-Level some other perks and use them to go through all the Heavy Armour sets.

I actually think dragonplate looks ok. The helmet looks ridiculous though. Most of the helmets look ridiculous. I just love the ebony mail though, so that's what I wear. But dragonplate looks good with the jagged crown imo.

I think that would have been a better looking helmet to be able to craft and wear

I believe the reason for this is when they were making the armor design they were rushing threw it since it was basically the last set of armor to be made for the smithing class im praying they don't mess up the dragonbone weapons in the expansion. .-.

i love the dragonscale armor personally. dragonplate could've looked better but it's okay looking imo. daedric is the coolest looking heavy armor though.

what i always do with smithing is get elven then go to the heavy armor side because their weapons are better...
