I personally love the Skyrim soundtrack, but as we know it can easily be a 300+ hour game and I would have personally expected some more music (not confirmed or denied yet) to be taken at least into consideration, and no I'm not demanding or asking, just stating that I would have thought of it if I was planning large scale expansions.
The Skyrim soundtrack is great and I always have it in my game (I'm on Xbox) but as great as it is, I have to say I prefer some of Jeremy's older work. Skyrim seemed way too large scale/background ambient, I actually prefer the Morrowind theme over the Skyrim arrangement. I understand what is in the game is very reflective of the game's setting but as we are seeing these settings and themes changing over these large scale expansions, what kind of music do you think could be added to the game?
I believe Jeremy's best work has been a close tie between Morrowind and the Guild Wars series, and particularly the Guild Wars series has stood out for its clearly more distinct settings rather than the deeper/more complex settings of the ES series. But looking at Skyrim I think there was just a little bit of missed potential, only because I know how talented Jeremy is.
I think Skyrim could really gain a lot from a few songs like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oBKItGgtqOo, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q2ze7znnAmo, and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CsamlvdPaJs. The simplistic nature of basic themes like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-YzWlxbg34Y&feature=related (this version is looped) and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9FBuxs6oxZ4, shifting melodies like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mxHLDRcT5VA and grand crescendo's like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PYiLjr4UM9s. So what say you forum? Think extra music is being realistic? What kind of music would you like to see?
