The Rolling hills of Skyrim

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 7:42 am

I was thinking for a very cool expansion pack, there could be an island off the coast of skyrim, maybe 1/3 the size...That would be inspired by the hills of Scotland. I mean the mist is perfect for deep green misty hills and castles are making their way into the game with dawnguard. Just a thought. It might be cool...especially if there is a war going on with the local tribes, and you come across a field with a 50 vs 50 battle going on. This would be a cool setting for battles in skyrim.

It doesn't really fit with the lore... I don't think that there are any records of a big island of the coast of Skyrim. Even if it was there, it would be cold and frozen. You know, the part of Skyrim people avoid...

I like it. There could be some really creepy stuff going on there too. Possibly some ancient evil that the tribes people all have to sacrifice their first borns to? I dunno. I think it would be fun though :3

I would love that too. As for people saying that it would be frozen, it could always be warmed through volcanic and tectonic activity. This is fantasy, you can pretty much do anything you want. I just want a big new area to explore.

Rather than an island off the coast, how a province to the west? Those rocks look pretty high, btw

I like that idea. Those rocks do look high, but the affect grass looks great. The other picture actually has rolling hills with trees, but the affect of the mist and the successive hills are nice.

It would be cool (I love nature of Scotland) but I think Skyrim with its Scandinavian nature is good enough!
