Opinions on Solstheim next dlc

Today's topic: Solstheim

Alot of people have been hoping that bethesda will bring back the return of Solstheim. This in my opinion will not happen for two reasons. 1) The terrain of Solstheim compared to Skyrim is just way too similar. It wouldn't feel like a "new" dlc to explore. Every dlc bethesda has released it was always in a new area with a whole "new feel" to it (dawnguard being an exception since it is still based in Skyrim). Yes Solstheim was definitely one of the most wonderful dlc packs everyone has experienced but they could instead make a whole new region with all new quests and story rather than worked on something they accomplished in the past. 2) We have already been there before. If I wanted to return to Solstheim I would just play morrowind on my pc. Its a region we have already been too in a previous game, again it wouldn't feel like an entirely new dlc especially with the fact that it was released as one of morrowind's expansion packs. Sure it could have a whole new story and brand new quests to deal with but exploring a previously released expansion pack that is similar to Skyrim's region in my opinion really wouldn't bring out the idea of an "All-new dlc".

Those are just my opinions anyway. What do you guys think on this subject?

Makes perfect sense - going back to a region from a previous ES is risky and runs the chance of disappointing too many people.

Better to go somewhere absolutely new. I'm not familiar with any ES game before Oblivion, but I believe the provinces that are still unexplored include:
-Hammerfell
-Orsinium
-Black Marsh
-Elsweyr (however you spell it)
-Summerset Isles

Morrowind, High Rock and Cyrodiil have all been covered in previous games, haven't they?

Am I missing any provinces?

My only gripe is that we've been there already. However, I'm curious on how Solstheim would have gotten on in the 300 years since the Nerevarine visited it (as Morrowind and Oblivion are not far apart timeline-wise).

I honestly don't care if it "feels" similar to Skyrim, location wise. That's not important. I'm not expecting to somehow wind up in Hammerfell for a change of scenery. What IS important to me is content. And if they can offer interesting content on that Isle, count me in.

If we returned to Solstheim there would have to be something key that makes it a fresh experience. I certainly wouldn't discount this possibility, but a new location does seem like a better idea.

However this seems like a better response to something suggesting Solstheim as a location, rather than a thread of its own. Either way it's really belongs http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1379496-future-dlc-discussion-not-dawnguard-merged-similar-topics/.
