Reverse Pickpocket Questions

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 4:45 pm

1. If I reverse PP'd armour that is superior to their old armour and weapons, will an NPC equip that armour and weapon?

2. If I leave then leave and come back, will they still use it?

Note: I'm asking this because of Fallout 3, where one could reverse PP Power Armour into Mercenaries that followed traders and they would retain and use the armour and weapons. If this is possible I would greatly appreciate it if someone would respond

3. In Fallout 3 you could reverse PP grenades into enemies and have them explode. Is there any sort of item in Skyrim that has a similar effect?

4. Should questions 1 & 2 work, is it possible to give people enchanted weapons and armour and have them use it?

Not sure about 1 or 2. Although I'd have thought that if you took the armour they were currently wearing at the same time as replacing it, they would indeed wear whatever you had given them. If it's an unnamed NPC then since they respawn they would not still be using what you have given them, although I'm not sure about how it would work with a named NPC.

As far as question 3 goes, you can reverse pickpocket poisons that the NPC will drink, though I'm inclined to think that this is reliant on an alchemy perk. Not sure you can give them anything that will make them explode though! ^_^

It's a pickpocket perk actually.

Likewise I'm in the dark about 1 and 2.

I'm pretty sure that is you give them something that's better than what they have, leave and come back later on they will be using it.

Wow, thanks! I wasn't sure if all you could do was poison blades with them. This helps a lot :)

My only worry about reverse PPing someone and giving them armour is what happens when you give a follower (like say your whiterun Housecarl) armour. At first they use it, but when you leave and come back they are in regular armour.

Perhaps if I were to reverse PP armour in, then pp their armour and weapons out. This might force them to wear the armour and weapons

It's quite fun to poison people on the streets. I tend to use non lethal poisons to mess with people I don't like. Nazeem has spent over 3 weeks in game on the ground after I gave him a super strong poison of paralysis. Very fun.

Can you give me a few ideas of decent poisons to use on people? This does sound rather interesting :P

Sure.

On Rolf Stone-Fist in Windhelm I give Slow Poisons to when he's wandering the Grey Quarter so he can't really bother anyone and is surrounded by people he doesn't like but can't talk to (also use paralysis on him quite a bit too).

For characters you want to kill without people blaming you, Fury works really well. They attack the people and usually end up dead fairly quickly (steal their weapon if you can so they only have their fists).

Paralysis is always fun.

Depends on what you pick up. You can also brew some pretty nasty poison potions on the alchemy table. Since there are so many, you can take a look at http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Potions#Poisons
