Matt says that you can craft new crossbow types, such as a dwarven crossbow which is suppose to be a high level crossbow. So we know for sure there will be at least 2 types of crossbows you can wield in Dawnguard.

I kind of wish, though, that we had a way to share equipment. It'd be nice to actually have a merchant build and sell the stuff I make to other players who chose more combat oriented perks. For in-game money, of course. Think about it... Make a name for myself, sell some gear, and then... Get commissioned for a custom piece of equipment. That would just be plain cool.
