I tried creating a new character today in preparation for Dawnguard, but once I get to the point where I'm at the chopping block, Alduin just keeps flying in circles while the executioner stares at me doing nothing.

Anyone else have this problem or any suggestions?? It's a little frustrating...

This is Skyrim's new method of executing people, they let the anticipation kill the prisoners. After six and a half hours of the headsman glaring at them most prisoners are screaming for him to JUST DO IT!!!!

Have you tried restarting?

I've had that problem, a restart normally fixes it.

Once, after the guy before me got beheaded, his head missed the box and rolled to my feet. ._.

Just had that problem, did you load the auto save that happens when your first start a new game or a complete new game... I did the auto save, hopefully a complete new game won't have this issue.

I tried to just completely start over but the same thing happened. I'll try one more time just in case though

Sounds like Alduin is trolling you. You should try restarting, but sometimes that doesn't help. A lot of bugs have been discovered after this patch.
