I'd really like to see the option to add jewels to your weapons when creating them. I have so freaking many jewels, and nothing to use them for. I think it would add a little customization to your character. By the time you get into the game a little way, you have far more money than you know what to do with, so selling the jewels is pointless. Lets make the customization of the weapons (and possibly armor) greater. The Dawnbreaker, for example, is a really cool looking weapon, but it's pretty crap. I want to be able to make cool looking stuff!

I don't see why they couldn't implement that into the game if its just for design purposes.

An awesome concept, but would take quite a bit of effort on Bethesda's part to implement. I'd rather they focus on sweet, sweet DLC.
Though the idea of yours is very, very sixy.

Depending on how they would do that, it could be obscenely ridiculous. It's like making every weapon/armor in every material(Eg: an ebony sword made in the style of Nordic Steel swords). It sounds nice, but it's a LOT of work to actually do.
And yes, I would know how much work it takes to make that many textures. the link in my sig tells all

I dont really find this all that cool, but then again im not into customization. I guess it could also increase the value of the weapon depending on how expensive the jewels in it are?

Maybe if you could enchant the jewels to add additional enchantments

I don't care too much about the value of them. I have a ridiculous amount of gold that I could never spend, hence why having a use for jewels other than selling them would make them worth picking up (I realize you can make jewelry, but again, that's pretty limited).

I don't mean making various models of each type of weapon. An ebony sword would still be an ebony sword, but it would just have rubies encrusted in the handle, or something like that.

that jewel perk has completely turned off the need to loot hunt for me
i dont even pick up ebony or glass or daedric weapons anymore to sell, why waste the carrying space when theres gonna be 10 diamonds in the next container?
giving the gems a purpose would definitely help

Don't stop at swords. Jewel encrusted everything! j/k

No, I would like the decorated items. It would add a nice touch. Don't know what it would take to do it, but...yeah.

Also, I'm jealous of all those jeweled flagons and shiny ships found in game for certain quests. So very, very shiny. I want to fill Honeyside with them.
