Will you be able to reset your perks in dawnguard for xbox 3

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 1:57 pm

I was wondering about this because i leveled my character up to level 81 and used all of the perks given to me. And knowing that there will be a perk tree for werewolves and Vampire Lords will there be anyway i could reset my perks so i can put them into those categories or am i stuck and would have to start a new character?

The Vampire Lord perks are separate from your main character.

You get perks by svcking blood for vampires so you dont need to worry about your level.

Probably not.

It's just an add-on to the game, not a reset button.

And please use the existing Dawnguard DLC discussion threads.

If you can't find one, use the "Search" option.

No, the max level is not raised, but rather, you get perks by svcking blood, not by leveling.

There will never be a respec for perks, its not going to happen.
Vampire Lord and Werewolf perks are earned by feeding. You could in theory be level one and have all the werewolf perks unlocked. (presuming werewolf perks are unlocked automatically upon becoming a werewolf).

no need because you get perks for the vampire tree by svcking blood from enemies.

You will gain perks in the traditional way, (i.e. using the skills) but you won't get a choice in which ones to select. They will "unlock" automatically. There will be no raise of the mathematical level cap, and you will not be able to reset your perks.

That is my understanding of it, anyway. I could be wrong, but I doubt it.

I can't see why they would allow you to respec your perks.

There is no need to respec perks.

And it doesn't make sense for a character to beable to force information out of his mind in order to make room for something else.

Its not pokemon.

it would be nice if they added a character in the college of Winterhold that could do that for you at a large cots of money and perhaps it would need a quest.i also wish we could separate saves files into folders with separate auto-saves, that would be nice

So many Dawnguard threads born out of a lack of using search function!

I'm still fond of the idea of a one-time-only-per-character perk reset. Just throwing that out there.

The Only way I would find this acceptable is if you could purchase it for a large sum of money (at least 50000 gold) and have it explained by a mage as "re-attuning your soul"

And only be accessible once per character with this function:

Regain all the perks from 1 and only 1 tree to be used elsewhere.

This would give those with mistakes a chance to fix them, and it would only do minor harm to lore and character developement.

If you want to reset your Perks, follow this little guide:

1) Start a new character.

2) Anytime you want to reset your Perks, see Step 1.

Simple. ;)

That is how I would prefer it, but these new players just have to try and make skyrim feel more like other rpg games...

Some people don't have the time (literally) to start a new character when so much of said time has already been invested in one playthrough.

I have a full-time (40+ hours per week) job, a Wife, two teenage kids, and I still have enough time to game almost as much as I spend time at work.

The whole "time" argument really doesn't sway me. :D

Going to college leaves me little time either.

Instead of investing all of that time into one overleveled character that I knew i would get bored with anyways I did the same thing I have always done in elder scrolls: divide my time across multiple characters specializing in different skills.

If i want to play an archer one night then I use my sneaky character. A mage? Use my magic character. Bashing things with metal? My warrior.

If you assume I have multiple characters because I have a rediculous amount of free time you are wrong. I simply plan out my playthroughs ahead.

Starting new characters isnt a question of time, its planning.

You are not wasting time by startig a new character, you are investing in a better second playthrough.
