Quick Vampirism?

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 11:50 pm

Does anyone have any idea of a quick way of contracting vampirism? If not do you know of any Vampire lairs that a low level can go to without getting pwned?

I don't like the idea of being a vampirre much I would like to have a few characters that can experience that part of Dawnguard.

Thank in advance to any of you that are actually helpful.

Mara's Eye pond In the middle is a small island and the island has a door going underground. The small cave only has 2 vampires and nothing else oh and some chests, Since its a smugglers den

A good lair is Broken Fang Cave in the plains west of Whiterun. There are only 2 vampires but if you use a healing spell or potion and let them attack you for a minute you will get vampirism quickly.
Also that lair is a great place. There are cages and bloody bones on platers.

Pretty sure Bethesda will have ways to you let experience dawn guard(both sides) immediately no matter your characters are vampire or not.

I'm personally not rolling a vampire on any character until the DLC comes out, I'm sure there will be a ritual of some sort if you decide to side with the vampires, where they give it to you wilfully.

Head to Broken Fang Cave. It's quite easy to get to early on.

You can just cross the river from Riverwood, & just a bit easterly of there is Anise's shack, head just a little bit further east, & you'll find Brittleshin pass, a quick jog through there, then head north-east just a bit, & you're at Broken Fang Cave.

Or, if this is more helpful, it's pretty much right beside Sleeping Tree Camp.

North Shriekwind Bastion just North of Falkreath.

There's only two Vampires in the whole place, about ten Skeletons, and Two Vampires Thralls.

The first Vampire is right inside the entrance and is low level, the second one is a Master Vamp all the way at the end of the crypt.

Easiest place I know of the contract the disease.

You will need to be level 10+ for the DLC anyway, by which time you can easily survive a little bit of vampire onslaught to get the disease before running off.

They haven't stated an absolute level 10 requirement, but "highly recommended" or words to that effect.

Exactly and if you won't see it if you're a vampire already.
Not to mention that regular vampires are said to be getting a big overhaul in the DLC... So becoming one now may not reflect what it's going to be like playing a vamp with Dawnguard.
Who knows, maybe you'll decide the Dawnguard themselves are 100 times more awesome than vamps when you play the dlc.

imho, if you are not already a vampire, just wait.

I went to the cave where you go for Clavicus Viles quest and just let a Vampire broad do her thing to me, then I gave her a raspberry donut punch to the nose and mashed out.
Then me and Roggi just stood outside the cave for three days going "Am I evil yet? How about now? Maybe a little?"

Haemar's Shame is the cavern you are referencing. ;)

Thaaaaaats the name. I used to be able to quote the strange names of ruins from Morrowind that had like 27 letters in them, but can't recall something as simple as Haemar's Shame.

Bloodlet Throne? That's where I got to become a vampire. It's just west of Helgen. There's also Haemars Shame to the east, and Broken Fang Cave on the Whiterun plains. Plenty of places ^_^

All of the Morrowind ruins had name pretty close to "Shurnisibibbi."

You can just go to Alva's house in Morthal, she attacks you on sight and you don't have to worry about a bounty if you kill her.

This is true, also free Tavern Clothes.
They're pretty hard to come by.

I left Helgen and headed straight for Bloodlet throne. A little way inside, there is a Vampire Thrall and two fledglings. Head East out of Falkreath and you'll eventually start climbing the mountains to the south. As you climb, you'll come up against 3-4 bandits near an empty shack not marked on the map. Just keep following the path and you'll reach Bloodlet Throne eventually.
