So I can not decide if I want to marry Lydia or Aela and wanted to see what you guys think. I use The house in Windhelm so both is not an option and I know how to have either one wear tavern clothes as well.
Aela, straight up. Do I have a legitimate reason? No. But that starting armor and side boob action is pretty sweet, coupled with her being a badass. What a gal.
I'd say Aela, but there are some glitches with her. The quests to get the totems can't be done after marrying her, so if you don't have them that'll be a problem. Unless that was fixed, but I'm not too sure.

Just do those three really easy quests an marry her. Tbh it depends whether or not you want to use youre wife as a follower. Lydia is 'probably' better but i cant stand her being " sworn to carry my burdens" everytime i try ti GIVE her something.

The things you do when your bored in Skyrim lol.
Aela is so much less generic than someone like Lydia. Another housecarl would be good. I personally would pick Aela.
