I didn't know dragons did this!

Post » Sat Jun 16, 2012 12:40 am

I was at a fort clearing it out. So I hear a roar and a frost dragon comes swooping down, but he doesemt pay any mind to me. He swoops down and picks up the bandit in his mouth and flings him hundreds of feet in the air. I've seen a dragon put people in his mouth but I've never seem a dragon launch somebody so far.

I have seen dragons toss people before. Notably, there is an event in the MQ where this happens at least once.

It is rare to happen, but I have taken to reloading when I travel to a city and a dragon spawns and instead traveling to a fort. Can't remember the name of it, but it is near the Western Watchtower. Anyway, I let the Imperials in there fight the thing for me. I have seen people getting tossed across the sky twice now just at that fort.

He grabs them with his feet flys up and releases them and they die from fall height. They do this to giants and even you too!

Dragons do the darnedest things. But seriously I've never seen this, or had this happen to me before.

Edit: Oh yeah. The dragon did that in one of the orginal gameplay trailers.

Dragons can do this to both the player and NPCs, although it is very rare.

I think anyone can see it at the start of the game when you are running for the keep in Helgan.

If you think that's a crazy thing for a dragon to do, check the Dawngaurd trailer :)

Every time a Dragon does that after Dawnguard gets released, I'm going to turn on the "Jaws" theme...

I've witnessed it to happen once, a dragon came dive bombing down on top of a Whiterun Guard and tossed him miles!

Up til recently, I didn't know dragons could crash and slide if injured while flying.

I think you'll also have a chance of getting chomped yourself if you climb the Western Watchtower at the beginning of the MQ. might have to be low level though.

I've seen it, it is very rare and I usually see it once or twice a play though excluding the ones that occur on purpose.

It's done it several times for my Wood Elf named "Bashilir". After I had killed it, I actually found the frost troll who was flinged.. Oh good times.
