lacking conjuration

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 6:48 pm

I am a big fan of Oblivion and I really enjoyed all the spells that conjuration had but does any body miss the scamps and all those other conjuration spells that didn't get into Skyrim.

There was a trademark by Bethesda for the name Hearthfire, which if I recall is a book about Conjuration in the universe. Assuming will be the next DLC, I'd expect some good content from that...cuz the most we have in this one that we've seen thus far is gargoyles.

I don't mind the lacking of the spells but I do mind the balance I wish they had a system like this
novice spells familiar flaming familiar
apprenticet melee atronachs for all three types of spells
adept: ranged for all types
expert: both for all types
and I wish each had a lvl range for each like
novice lvl 1-10

apprentice 10-20
adept 20-30
expert 30-40
and master 40-50+
and that they would level with you accordingly

I hated the conjuration in Skryim, it went from my favorite school of magic in Morrowind and Oblivion to one that's virtually useless in Skyrim. Wow, atronachs and blue groaning NPCs... Totally weak.

Magic, as a whole, took a....less than favorable route in Skyrim. I would like to see more Summons added. Who wouldn't?

Magic seems to lack a fair bit in Skyrim.
I personally miss the various Alteration spells more than Conjuration as I haven't really played as a conjurer much.

I miss mysticism most :( Mark, Recall, levitation... Getting Chameleon, unlock and silence spells back would be great too. Magic looks really pretty in Skyrim but it has been weakened a lot.

Heck, I had completely forgotten Mysticism even existed... Skryim brainwashing ftw!

The same holds true in Oblivion transition from Morrowind. Back in Morrowind we could summon any creature in the game apart from NPCs, while Oblivion only gave us what seemed like a select few. It seems like a progression because back in Daggerfall we could summon even items.
