Have Bethesda told us everything about Dawnguard?

Post » Sat Jun 16, 2012 3:42 am

So, I'm just wondering if Bethesda have told us all details about Dawnguard yet or if there will be things in the DLC that they won't tell us until it is released? Is there a chance for some minor things (e.g. setting favorites for followers) to be in Dawnguard, even though they haven't talked about it yet?

I don't have a huge experience of following exactly what's in a Bethesda DLC/expansion, so maybe some of you know if Bethesda usually have some extra things in the DLC or if they announce all new features before release?

What do you think?

they gave us an overview not a list of all content. dawnguard could be 10x bigger than they make it seem.

It's going to be set in Western Morrowind, the Blacklight area. Hopefully. Really really hopefully.

I think they would have told us if they added a new area, but I also want new areas to explore

I highly doubt they have told us everything, at e3 Todd Howard said that there was more to the dlc that they were not going to talk about.
They also denied that werewolves were in the main game before release and left it as a suprise for fans when they got their hands on the main game. So they do not release all details about their games before release.

IIRC Todd mentioned it added 20-30 hours of content so I doubt they have given us all the information. They have likely mentioned most of the major features, like Vampire Lords, but I would be surprised if it isn't more than what we know.

based on a preview i read
its two different tracks
one for dawnguard and one for vampire lord
they only cross once
the article stated he played as a vampire and it was clunky

from what ive seen in videos and reviews from the demo and from chit chats wit the dev team it seems there will be more. at least 20 hours of xtra game play and i think they said like 20 more dungeons, more items ( heard there will be dragon bone swords). also in one of the interviews the interviewer asked if about werewolves and some other stuff and the devs response was that they couldnt tell him about it right now cause they wanted to keep some of the new stuff as a surprise. hope this answers ur question

I hope this is not the case! Two new landmasses added... One is soul Cairn the other could be just the tiny island seen in the trailer where Harkon castle is located but maybe we're in for a nice suprise. Also in the patch file there's some material related to Falmers, a subject on which Bethesda remained silent.

i don't think that the island can be characterised as Big landmass :P and it cannot be compared to Soul Cairn for sure.I'd love to see new areas with new creatures and new quests :D

They left out that we can change the name of our weapons without having to put some fancy nancy enchantment. And milk drinkers, a lot more milk drinkers. And you will see guards on crutches as the recoup from "arrow in the knee" battle damage

There is probably going to be something in there like them not saying much about a snow prince.

Using what the idea of what normally happens, Bethesda will make their DLC sound amazing, but also only mention small fragments of what is coming up in it. Most DLC is far more expansive then they make it out to be.

The DLC will probably contain a lot of content. By only talking about those Vampire Lords, Bethesda can distract us from asking about the other stuff they have in store for us. Let′s be honoust most of the fans talk about the Vampire vs Dawnguard part of the DLC. I am very curious about the other landmasses that are mentioned in the above article...
