Civil War Quests - A simple fix for Bethesda to give to 360

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 10:07 pm

On the PC.. "the Civil War quests are greatly improved with the Unofficial Skyrim Patch, which fixes an issue with the leveling multiplier. Without the patch, only lower level enemies spawn, so the encounters are too easy if the player is above, say level 10-15."

This a serious issue with the Xbox game. The Civil War quests can be terrible at the moment. Above levels 10-15 it is just depressing. You just slaughter enemies with a few hits, and take barely any damage. There are no magic wielders in the enemies, while you are there as the only one blasting all types of spells. It makes no sense and made me stop playing. And this is on Master difficulty!!

On Master and Expert difficulty it would improve the game a great deal if the Civil war quests scaled, like they do with the Unofficial Patch. Could this be done for Xbox users, please?

It's a simple fix but a great improvement. Post here to get this message across to the dev team please. Thanks!

What's even worse is the Legate Rikke glitch that still hasn't been addressed (at least I think it hasn't). This completely blocks progression in the Civil War questline, luckily for me installing the game to my HDD solved it.

I think I know what you're talking about sthompson18, is the glitch you are referring to the one that involves her randomly becoming hostile to you?

That happened to me once, and I don't remember how I resolved it.

No she doesn't give the "Reporting for Duty" dialogue option at the Winterhold Imperial Camp. Completely blocks all progression.

I don't want magic wielding Imperial soldiers. Maybe if they added thalmor opponents it would work.

*facepalm*

If you are refering to something related to lore, then play prologue again please?

If you are referring to something gameplay related, then why would you think thalmor mages are fine but not imperial mages?

I had no idea about this issue, so thanks for the info, I'll need to see if my game suffers from this (PC) and install that patch.

Personally, I wish the Civil War had all its cut content restored somehow. I doubt it'd be done as DLC (too difficult to make work) but maybe mods could do it. (By cut content I mean the Major Hold sieges (Riften/Markarth), the economy damaging/sabotage and even though it might be a bit silly, the recruiting Giants by giving them cows.

I'm saying if there were imperial mages in mage garment it would look good. What you appear to wantt is for imperials in heavy armour to run around firing of spells.

It seems you are the only one who thought about magic user in heavy armor.

Look at the op and all other posts again. "Magic wielder" = "Normal soldiers wielding magic"? Imperial mages are crying in a corner.

If you still think people are talking about "heavy armor soldiers wielding magic", then you should check the mod OP mentioned and see what he's talking about.
