"Realism Mode?"

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 4:48 pm

hardcoe mode in Fallout New Vegas was challenging and added an extra element to the game which made even more entertaining. Because Skyrim has no "Realism Mode" as such do you put restrictions on yourself in-game and if so how do you go about doing this?

Nope. I would rather just get a Realism/HC mode, because it would force me to do those things.

I can never remember to sleep/Eat etc..

Being a vampire can be a challenge. The cons are almost equivalent to pros, and the need to feed to avoid hostility is similar to needing food/water/sleep in FNV. Of course, that will change once Dawnguard gives normal vampires an "upgrade".

Can carry only one hundred to one hundred and seventy five pounds, hud and music off, play on master, and eat three times a day and sleep at least for nine hours a day.

I try to keep my stock of potions (besides paralysis and poisons) at a reasonable limit. I don't think I would enjoy sleeping required amount of hours or limiting my ability to carry things, so I just try to keep things reasonable with supplies :)

Oh and you cant carry more than one set of armour, but you can have one extra backup weapon so like a sword and a bow.

Kill a Bandit and see what they're carrying. Generally they only have a small amount ie, armour set, primary weapon, secondary weapon, 1-3 food items, 1-2 potions.

That for me is a general guideline I tell my friends. I try and base what I carry on how far I can run with a full combat pack for PT.

All of this is if i'm playing my RP character which is just one guy.

I lack the self-discipline to self-impose rules, not that I have any fun doing so when I do. I don't really find Skyrim 'immersive' enough to try and live as a person in that world. It just feels too 'gamey' and as such I play it as a game.

Haha, that'd be cool. Like, if you went to long without eating you'd lose health and could die. It'd also be cool if when you didn't sleep for awhile you could literally just like pass out and wake up hours later.

Aside from utilizing your imagination, there's mods for that...

if you pass out in A DANGEROUS area like cave or dungeon you can either wake up in a difficult room or die during the night?
