Bound Bow questions

Post » Sat Jun 16, 2012 12:17 am

1) Is it good?

2) Is it worth putting the perk into mystic binding if you are using it?

3) What type of bow is it comparable to?

All bound weapons are the equivalent of Daedric weapons. And if you're archery allows you to deliver a strong punch, then yes, I would recommend Mystic Binding. The bow is excellent and it does not add weight to your person, allowing you to carry other things in the place of a standard bows weight.

I believe that it is the same damage as an Upgraded Glass Bow. It is my favorite Bow in the game because it looks cool and spawns 100 arrows everytime you cast it. I would fully perk that branch if you will be using it.

"Bound weapons are http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Conjuration_(Skyrim)http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Weapons_(Skyrim) used in http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/The_Elder_Scrolls_V:_Skyrim. http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Summon through the use of Conjuration http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Magic, bound weapons come in several different types. All bound weapons are weightless versions of non-upgraded http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Daedric_Weapons_(Skyrim). The http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Bound_Bow_(Skyrim) is the strongest Bound Weapon. When conjured, 100 http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Bound_Arrow accompany it."

I love the bound weapons.
Though I had a glitch with the Bound Battleaxe where when I summoned it I didn't have it in hand, and couldnt attack, couldnt switch weapons and couldnt use any magic or bows. So i was pretty much screwed. Only once though. But I'm hesitant to use it since.

It is brilliant but make sure you use archery perks  ! It is equivilent to daedric. Slighty off topic; I read some where that the Bound Battleaxe was only the same as a Dwarven one! Can anyone clarify this? :tes:

It is a Daedric Bow...how do ppl not realize this i will never know. It is the best default bow in the game with that mystic binding perk. It is slow like a Daedric bow but stronger with the perk

It is very viable for early to mid game. Mid to late game it starts to loose it's effectiveness. Overall it is a great weapon and an absolute wonderful delivery system for poisons.

Is that due to the lack of smithing?

I'm currently using it on my Illusion/Conjuration Mage. She's upper 40's and it's still more than enough. The only drawback I see is that it takes a bit longer to cast the spell than to pull out a standard bow. Not a biggie. No you can't smith it so if you feel you have to have a fully smithed out uber bow you won't be happy with it. If you want a really great bow that weighs nothing, hits hard, and comes with free arrows, and built in soul stealing and banishing with perks, then you should be more than satisfied.

Bound Bow is amazing, it packs a powerful punch. With the mystic binding perk its the equivalent of a Equisite Deadric bow, with the 5 archer perks, its legendary, and yoy didnt even have to smith it. Perfect for mages or thiefs who perfer light armour and dont want to waste perks going up the heavy armour side of smithing.

I like to use it for hunting animals. Its an easy way to fill up soul gems that way.
