Regarding Houses in Skyrim..

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 10:59 pm

Now I know this wouldn't be the most amazing addition to the game, not like dragon riding would, but a small yet very practical addition would be a way for me to get my junk from one house to the next without making 1000 trips! I say this now because I store all of my junk in my house in Windhelm, and now I get a fancy new place from Dawnguard and I have to waste time moving it all over. I just propose either being able to fast travel while over encumbered, or having some delivery system like in Fallout New Vegas where you put you stuff in a chest or something and it appears in your desired house. How else will I move my bug in jar collection over!? Not a big addition but it saves me hours of moving, it svcks in real life and it shouldn't when your the dragonborn!

I can completely agree with you on this here, it took me a total of 4 hours to move from whiterun to Windhelm, and its going to take 2x as long when DawnGuard comes out. Anything would be better than nothing at this point.

You could try to waddle to your horse and fast travel and then waddle to the new house.

If you have dead thrall (or the ritual stone) you can fast travel to the new place with a corpse with everything in it. If you're using the ritual stone, they'll die when you get there but still make it. Then you can waddle in and put stuff in it.

I'd settle for even being able to buy the house in Windhelm, I can't even start the quest :<

I always thought a pack brahman follower in fallout 3 would be a good idea. Im pretty sure you'll be able to use horses to store things soon.

Also, i keep freakin saying this, but PC players can ride dragons in OBLIVION. It makes a good mod, but i think it would be SO stupid to add it as official DLC.

Oh and uh, does anyone else remember using shadowmere as a storage device in oblivion =p? You could kill him and store stuff on him, then he would get up and be fine.
