Vampire Undressing?

Do you think exiting a Vampire Lord transformation will leave you in your underwear? I don't think my rich vampire imperial would feel right if that happened.

Eh I think it will. Noticeing when you do your werewolf transformation it leaves you in your underwear. So I can see it happening with the Vampire Lord noticeing it is, a Transformation.

Why does it put you in your underwear though? You can transform even with a Greatsword out and Blades Armor, so clearly it's a magical transformation and not a physical one.

I think it is a game play mechanic so that your armor is not destroyed when you transform. The quick physical change would rip it off of your body.

Well it is pretty cold in Skyrim... but do vampires even feel the cold?

They should have made some weightless vampire robes that made transformations easier and smoother - specifically suited to make sure you'd return to humanoid form with all the robes on, you know, allowing you to retain your dignity in front of your compadre's.

I'm having mixed thoughts on that transformation. With the transformation it kind of sounded like you can be the Vampire Lord for as long as you'd like. Yes, no?

These robes could be the type where the whole back is exposed.

Its so your gear doesn't remain equipped while you're in the transformed state.

yeah but they could of made it so the armor reequips. Plenty of mods do this so it is really not a difficult thing to do. They instead left you naked similar to what usually happens to someone who goes through a physical change.

Not as easy as you may think and who knows what complications can come up with all the various equipment in the game.

Now I know coding can be hard and all but I was pointing out that it was done for mods. I have used them in the past (uninstalled them when I heard about werewolf perk trees as to not interfere with the changes in the dlc) and from playing a good deal of skyrim it worked completely well even with modded armor. The mod author said in his description that it marked the armor you used before transforming and then reequipped it afterwards. There was one problem with enchantments not reequipping but I'm sure beth could have fixed something like that. Of course as I said I'm no experienced coder so I can't say anything with fact but if someone with beths tools could do it I don't see why they couldn't. So my point from before stands, that they did it to replicate the transformation causing your clothing to tear off. The only reason they did not destroy your items is because most people don't want to worry about losing their items by accidentally transforming while wearing them.

You just pointed out the complication with the mod right there. Maybe Beth ran into that same issue and simply decided it would be safer to have you requip your gear by yourself. You could exit the wolfstate and not realize your enchantments aren't active. If I have to requip my gear anyway I might as well come out of the transformation in my underpants so its obvious.

Yes I know I did point that out and it was an example from a mod that had been abandoned but was still good. As I said before other modders have done similar and I'm unsure of how theirs works. If beth really wanted it to reequip the armor it would have been done. Also interesting note to take is that the being naked occurred even in morrowind with werewolves.
