Quite a good idea I've thought of. ^_^

So, you know how the caves and forts respawn in Skyrim? Well, I was thinking.... instead of having to buy one of the houses in the cities, what if you could just clear a fort or cave out that you like and have the option to keep it cleared out? (At least as far as loot goes.)

And then what?

Well, basically it allows you to live in any cave or fort you want, there will be an option on whether you want to keep the cave cleared or let it respawn like normal. It'd work good for Roleplaying when let's say your character is an outcast or bandit of some type.

It would be nice, but you haven't been able to do that since Morrowind. I think that if you're on the PC though, you can basically do that with console commands. Can't say for sure though, don't play on the PC.

Sounds like a good idea, but what you do if you were sleeping without your armor and weapons and bunch high lvl mages or bandits just so happens to see a cave or fort with no one outside and decides to make it home and so happens found you and capture you?

Would pair well with a place-able furniture mod. Though I don't think one has been done yet =\

There are plenty of non-respawning caves you could use.

You mean like in Morrowind? When you cleared a dungeon in that game it stayed clear. You could take it for your own and use it as a house/base. I do wish we could have the best of both worlds. If you stumble upon a dungeon to your liking have some sort of feature that allows you to "claim" it, so nothing respawns within. While all other dungeons still respawn like they do now.

So, yes it is a good idea!

Thanks bro! I actually wanted to go live in a cave. Wanted to move everything I could into it.

If you could "claim" the cave and have NPC allies spawn there (depending on who you claim it for) like non-hostile bandits or Imperials or something, and you could place furniture and fortifications, it'd be epic.

You could even create defences of weird and wonderful kinds; traps, spider webs, even guarding Draugr... it would be amazing. Finally I can create my vampire lair!

I like the idea, but there IS already a lot of dungeons and other things that do not respawn, so you could just use those

This is why I wish they kept in Mark and Recall spells. They made it to where in Morrowind you could teleport right to the back of a cave (where all your stuff may be) then do alumsivi or divine intervention out. Made things a lot more fun lol.

Also, just to be clear.. NOTHING respawns in these dungeons, correct? I want to put my stuff in the chests and literally move into it.

It would be quite cool for a criminal/vampire/werewolf character to have a network of hideouts or lairs dotted about the place to flee the law/angry mob/sun.
