Werewolf Perk Tree Question

Post » Sat Jun 16, 2012 1:57 pm

I was wondering if the Werewolf Perk Tree will only be available to those who purchase Dawnguard or will it be a general update to the game? I'm really hoping its the latter of the two and if not iI really hope they consider making it a general update.

It comes only with Dawnguard. Maybe later Bethesda will decide to patch it in, but it's highly unlikely - they're making money off the DLC, it would be unreasonable to release even a part of its content for free.

I dont see at as unreasonable for them to release it outside the DLC they gave us mount combat and they could have easily made that DLC only.

True, but they gave us mounted combat before we even heard what the DLC was about. New perk trees, however, were always tied with Dawnguard and there's no reason to believe it's going to change. I'm not saying it can't, but Bethesda never even hinted that any parts of the DLC might be released separately. And I don't think it would be fair to those who are going to buy Dawnguard - they'll pay for all the content and then they'll see that others get it for free. Not all of it, sure, but one of the most interesting new features. They won't like it.

Though I am fairly sure there is a vampire and werewolf perktree out there as a mod on Nexus somewhere.

For the werewolf and vampire lord perk trees do you gain perks by leveling up like usual or getting kills? From all the E3 interviews I've seen it seems like you gain perks by getting kills as either a werewolf or a vampire lord and not by leveling up...

Oh, that's for certain. I've been using them for months ;) There are mods for most of the little things Dawnguard is going to give us - mounted combat, better vampirism and lycanthropy, dragonbone weapons, changing your appereance.

Yes, you unlock these perks by killing people using your vampiric or wolfish powers.
